Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to derive linear modal equations describing the forced liquid sloshing in a rigid truncated (tapered) conical tank, as well as to show how to couple these modal equations with “global” dynamic equations of a complex mechanical system carrying this tank.
Design/methodology/approach
Derivation of the modal equations can be based on the Trefftz variational method developed by the authors in a previous paper. Describing the coupled dynamics utilizes Lukovsky' formulas for the resulting hydrodynamic force and moment due to liquid sloshing.
Findings
The so‐called Stokes‐Joukowski potentials can be found by using the Trefftz method from the authors' previous paper with the same polynomial‐type functional basis. Coupling the modal equations with the global dynamic equations becomes a relatively simple task facilitated by Lukovsky's formulas. Using the linear multimodal method can be an efficient alternative to traditional numerical and analytical tools employed for studying the coupled vibrations of a tower with a conical rigid tank on the tower top.
Practical implications
The derived modal equations are equipped by tables with the computed non‐dimensional hydrodynamic coefficients. Interested readers (engineers) can incorporate the modal equations into the global dynamic equations of a whole mechanical system without new computations of these coefficients.
Originality/value
The multimodal method can be an alternative to traditional numerical tools. Using the derived modal equations simplifies analytical studies and provides efficient calculations of the coupled dynamics of a mechanical system carrying a rigid tapered conical tank with a liquid.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to investigate the impact of employees’ engagement in government social media (GSM) on their cybersecurity compliance attitude, protection motivation and protective behavior, thereby contributing to effective cybersecurity practices at organizations.
Design/methodology/approach
A quantitative cross-sectional field survey was conducted to collect primary data in big cities and large provinces in Vietnam. The final data set of 323 responses was analyzed using the partial least squares-structural equation modeling approach to interpret the results and test research hypotheses.
Findings
Engagement in GSM positively influences employees’ cybersecurity compliance attitude (ATT). Perceived threat vulnerability and response efficacy also contribute to a positive compliance attitude, although self-efficacy has a negative impact. Moreover, the cybersecurity compliance ATT significantly explains the information protection motivation, which in turn influences employee protective behaviors. However, the relationship between compliance attitude and protective behaviors is weak, unlike previous studies that found a strong correlation.
Originality/value
Although recent studies have explored specific information security practices in corporate and home contexts, the influence of GSM on individuals’ cybersecurity behaviors has received limited attention because of its novelty. This study contributes to the existing body of knowledge by investigating the impact of GSM on cybersecurity behaviors. This study provides significant contributions to understanding social media’s effects of social media on individuals’ cultivation processes, by expanding upon the protective motivation theory and cultivation theory. The results lead to practical suggestions for organizational managers and policymakers so that they can enhance their understanding of the importance of cybersecurity, encourage the implementation of self-defense strategies and highlight the significance of threat and coping evaluations in influencing attitudes and motivations.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to validate the content of an instrument which identifies the organizational, sociocultural and technological characteristics that foster digital transformation (DT) in higher education institutions (HEIs) through the Delphi method.
Design/methodology/approach
The methodology is quantitative, non-experimental, and descriptive in scope. First, expert judges were selected; Second, Aiken's V coefficients were obtained. Nine experts were considered for the validation.
Findings
This study’s findings show that the instrument has content validity and there was strong consensus among the judges. The instrument consists of 29 questions; 13 items adjusted and 2 merged.
Originality/value
A novel instrument for measuring the DT at HEIs was designed and has content validity, evidenced by Aiken's V coefficients of 0.91 with a 0.05 significance, and consensus among judges evidenced by consensus coefficient of 0.81.
